
we have a few account validation rules checking for data in speciffic fields. The rules are active.
In our Sandbox SF will let me convert leads creating new accounts without a problem although the validated fields are empty. If I edit the new account without filling the validated fields the validation works fine, preventig "save".
In our production instance the lead will not convert. The error displayed contains the error message generated by at least one of the validation rules. "Require Validation for Converted Leads" under Setup/Lead Settings is NOT checked (both sandbox and production).
Any ideas what's wrong here?
