I have some users that have the following occuring:
They receive an email notification in outlook. In this email there is a link to a salesforce record, when they click the link they need to login again to salesforce, eventhough they are already logged into salesforce.
I checked the session settings for their profile https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=users_profiles_session.htm&type=5
and everything is set up the same as for the system admin.
I have the sys admin profile and this problem doesnt occur to me (i can just click the link and it will link me directly to salesforce, without loggin in again).
So i guess this can be 2 things.
1 outlook standalone vs outlook on the web or
2 the browser they are using
I think i ruled out nr 1, because i checked with both, and both redirect my instantly to salesforce.
so my question, is there a relation between which browser you use and loging in again to salesforce? If so, how can i adjust that? or is the work instruction : just use chrome?
If none of this is the case, what else could be the problem?
Is there a configuration im not seeing?
any help is welcome.

Hello Jerome,
Each browser acts as its own session, this can be incredibly handy when debugging however it can be a pain with scenarios like you describe. You would want to advise your users to use the same browser as their default or have them change the default browser to the company standard. Hope that helps!
