    The ideal way to do this would be to upload documents in relevant record so it gets the sharing ability with that record. Here is a work around using Content Delivery. This may or may not work based on what you want to do. 

     

    Pre-req: 

     

    1) Should have content deliveries and the Creation of Content Deliveries for Salesforce Files enabled

     

    2) Add Content Delivery related list on Account Page layout. 

     

    Now go to / open the file you want to associate with account. Click on "Go To Content Detail Page" next to Help for this page link. On Content Detail page Click on Deliver Content and select Deliver this Content menu option. Provide Delivery name and select or uncheck required options, in last Related to field Select "Account" and in next field browse the Account you want to associate the file with. Click Save & Next. Wait for couple of minutes to get it indexed and you will see the file on your Account.
