Mail Merge in Custom Object

Question

So we use the Professional edition.  I have created a new custom object called "Product Evaluation" and is a related list within Account.  I have three fields within this object, e.g. Product, Start Date, and End Date which we use to track what products are out on demo.  In addition to logging this information into Salesforce, the user also has to create a Product Evaluation agreement form which is a Word document. What I like to accomplish, if for them to update Salesforce, then select a Mail Merge button within the related list that would populate the proper fields in the Word document.  How would I accomplish this feat?

Not sure if this will work for you, but I would think you will have to put the button on the related object page layout and not the related list.
