I am working with products, and using the product family field (I renamed the label to Product Category). For some reason I can see the product family/category field, but it is not accesible. I checked the field level security and it is visable and editable for all profiles. Any idea why this would be?

can you share the screenshot? i am guessign that it your product family may be part of dependent picklist and controlled by another field.
