How to efficiently manage scheduled reports

We have only 80 reports scheduled (out of the 200 limit) and at most 18 in one 24 hour period, but we are still having issues scheduling reports to run daily.

 

I think this is due to not having any real process for how we set them up - we just take any open time slot available.  And now we can schedule a report daily through 12/30, but there arent any time slots on 12/31, so we are SOL.

 

Does anyone have processes they use to manage scheduled reports efficiently.  It seems like we need to do something better so that we can get closer to our theoretical limits.

    There are some really cool ways to do scheduled reports with Conga Composer but the setup is a bit more involved. You can have Courier up and running in about 5-10 minutes and you can send reports to Contacts in addition to users, so it has that going for it, which is nice
