Field Create/View for Profile

 I need to setup a profile where the users can create select fields in a record but not view after creation.  I know how to do this at a record level but not a field level.  I only see the options to read-only, not visible, fully editable.  I dont see a create option at field level.

 

Can this be done and if so, how?

    When you say "the users can create select fields in a record" do you mean edit/input date when creating a record?  

     

    Which edition of SFDC are you using?  If you're on EE or UE you might be able to do this with a Workflow Rule and Record Types and Page Layouts.
