How can I contribute files uploaded in chatter to content library?

I have been trying to use content library, documents and files and am finding out that they don't work with each other like I thought.  I thought you could upload a file and then assign it to a library.  Is there a way that this can be done?

This is crazy! You can upload multiple files at a time using the Chatter files app but can only load one document at a time into a library. So I thought I would load the files using chatter files and then just add them to a library but apparently that is not possble.

How can I contribute files uploaded in chatter to content library?
