We have 2 parent partner accounts each with 300 assigned sub-accounts. One parent account was set up as the parent of the second parent by mistake. When the portal users logged in to create cases for the individual agency accounts, the cases attached to the top parent directly - even though the cases actually show the individual agency account demographic. If I delete the top parent account will these cases automatically attach to the individual agency accounts for which they were originally created?

    No, they will not. You neither to either manually or systematically edit the Account Name field and replace it with the correct Account. Simply double click the Account Name field and enter in the correct Account and Save if you are doing it manually. If you want to do it systematically, you need to know the Account ID of the correct individual agency accounts and export the list of cases and the Account IDs and use the Data Loader or another API tool to mass update them.
