When I use Genius to send a wide distribution email for a campaign, it inserts a completed task for each contact to indicate they received the email. The task is marked as Completed and appears under Activity History.
I want to do the very same thing for off-line activities, such as a snail-mail drop, indicating contacts attended a live, in-person event, etc.
I have figured out how to do a mass-insert of a task to a group of contacts, but I can't indicate the task is *completed.* I have tried using Apex Data Loader and Mass Update Anything. I do not have the option to change the Task's ISCOMPLETED field to TRUE. The ISCOMPLETED field is not available to revise using either tool.

I assume fields with true/false values like IsCompleted must not be directly updatable...?
