Generating % of answers that equal x,y,z etc

Hi Everyone

I want to generate statistics on the % of users that filled in a survey that answered x to a question and y to that question etc.

The answers are in multi-select pick lists.

I was going to create a formula field on the survey object for each answer but is this the best and quickest way ?

If they are in multi-select picklists, you are pretty much shut-out.  MSPicks are not really reportable or analyzable (is that even a word?)
