My current org is set to private on Leads and Contacts.

I have two dummy licenses set up for Marketing Automation integrations.

I have three record types. Company A record type, Company B record type and a Combined record type.

One license has a contact sharing rule stating it has read/write access to record type Company A and the Combined. I have tested this out and confirmed read/write acess for both record types.

The other license is a clone of the first, but has a sharing rule I created for read/write access to Company B record type and the Combined record type on contacts. I have confirmed that this licenses has access to both records types, but for some reason when I log in as that user, I can edit the contacts with Company B record types, but I get access errors when I try to edit the Combined record type.

What am I missing, or is this a bug to contact support about??

Thanks guys! Through further research I determined that the problem is sharing the combined record type accross the roles in the hierarchy.

I have found the the Combined record types owned by someone under the opposite's role hierarchy are not accessable (The user license under the WealthCounsel Org cannot edit Combined record types owned by someone under the ElderCounsel Org and vice versa, but they can edit a Combined record type owned by someon under the WealthCounsel Org).

What would I set up to give access to the combined record types owned by the opporsite org for both licenses?
