We are having an issue with a couple of components on our home page in our sandbox.  We have a dashboard and we bring a few of those components over to the home tab.  Two out of the four dashboard components have an error "one or more fields in the component is no longer available."

We have checked all of the likely suspects (FLS, Object level security and etc). 

After much back and fourth with support if we remove the component and just re-add that works.  What we are having trouble understanding is why. 

We did some updates in our scratch org and pushed and we think it maybe related to @Salesforce DX but we are not sure. 

Has anyone had this issue before?  We do have an open case, but trying to understand they why behind this happening so it doesn't happen when we push to production.
