Hi all,

I've searched for this and am coming up empty. We are in the midst of switching to Lightning and loving many aspects. However, there's one that I can't seem to get my head around and hoping for some help. I frequently work with "raw" data from reports and our marketing automation solution in which I'm used to copying an ID (for an Account/Contact/Opportunity, etc.) from a CSV file and pasting it into the URL after "salesforce.com/" and getting right to where I need to go. Now, in Lightning, I find I can only do that when I open an account record first and replace that ID with the one I want to look up. Am I missing something really basic here?

Example:

Classic: https://[org name].my.salesforce.com/0033700000nE.....

(Takes you right where you need to go, no matter the object.)

Lightning: https://[org name].lightning.force.com/lightning/page/home?0.source=alohaHeader

Where to put the ID? Only after opening an object do you get a "hackable" URL like this: https://[org name].lightning.force.com/lightning/r/Dashboard/01Z37000000Hu......./view?queryScope=userFolders

Maybe I'll just have to get used to not being able to quickly navigate like I used to, but wanted to ask to see if I'm just doing it wrong. :-)

Thanks in advance,

Julie
