Is there anyway to remove this completed/reopen button in lightning on tasks? We want to remove it from one record type that the user cannot modify after creation.

Click-to-close as a button is new. Till last release this was in the form of a checkbox. We moved from the checkbox to a button to standardize checkbox for selection across Lightning Experience.
