I have broken up very long detail pages by creating Quick Actions with type equal Update Record. I take the information from Sections on the Details page and move them to Quick Actions. Then on the Lightning page I create a tab for that Quick Action. I use the Related Record Lightning Component for that tab. Users love it because they can quickly hop to the section they need and they don't have to do long scrolls on the Details page.
