I have been studying for the Administrator certification for several months now, but after discussing it with my boss today, we decided to shelve that activity for now. Why? Because we couldn't determine what the benefit is to the firm.
I understand that there is a personal benefit to ME to be certified, but what are the benefits to the company that I work for? They already think I'm amazing at Salesforce, I don't need to prove it to anyone here.
Why did you choose certification? What benefits did you see for the company you work for?

The resit cost for the exam is $100, I'm not sure if there is a time limit for how long after you have to attempt the resit but might be worth contacting the certification team directly and seeing if you can get for the lower amount.
