Not taking a risk, is a risk. That's how I see it.

@Ankit Kumar an experienced Customer Service professional located in Dubai, UAE enrolled for the Mentorship Central Program with a motto of being able to give thrust to his career aspirations and being able to work on his skills.

In a post COVID19 era, where people are afraid of losing their jobs, Ankit took a BOLD and COURAGEOUS step to QUIT his current job so that he could focus on getting in Salesforce Ecosystem as a Full Fledged Salesforce professional. He somewhere knew at the back of his mind, that he has to take calculative risks to over-come the current situation he is in and the challenges ahead along-with the risks involved.

He took charge of the situation, and started working towards his goals. And with the constant guidance and mentorship he cracked Salesforce Administration exam in a straight two months time.

Hi,

I have recently completed this program with my Mentor @Hina Basantani . So here is my experience of this 1 month journey with you.

Honestly... This was the best thing that could have happened to me at this time, reason being that i was willing to utilize this lock down time to hone my Salesforce skills in the right direction. Although i was studying Salesforce for quiet sometime, i had doubts. I was just randomly studying things which were coming my way.. But when u came as mentor... U showed me the right approach to learn this technology. U helped me with the most important topics which I should know.

The assignments which u have given were very helpful in clearing my technical concepts but I feel your feedback on that assignment was more important and valuable to me as it gave me a clarity about client side requirements and how professional work is done.

The way you guided me on resume/ interview questions was also very helpful as it has your own past experience and knowledge added to them.

Your tips about joining trailhead Communities and LinkedIn connections have taught me the importance of professional socialism and i will improve it over time.

I was not expecting much from this program but this one month experience has given me hopes that the goal which I have set for myself is totally achievable(these were your words when we first talked :)) .Out of total 6 months for which I am studying Salesforce this one month was most productive and I give all the credits to you. I don't know how you take out time for this passion of yours because I am a developer myself and i understand the value of weekends. Thank you for taking out time for me. Thank you for being my mentor. I wouldn't have it any other way. There are very few people who impart knowledge selflessly and you r one of them. I have learnt more than just Salesforce, I learnt to be a helpful person, I learnt the value of giving back to society.

Keep doing the good work Hina. I know that other mentee of yours feel the same. You are more than just a Salesforce expert for us... You are the best mentor ; an amazing human being.
