CGL Seeks Virtual Speakers for PD1 Students

The 5th annual Salesforce Developer: From Zero to Hero in 100 Days Summer '23 Edition will give participants 13-14 weeks of well-prepared materials for PD1 certification to help them succeed. The organiser, @Darko Todorovski, is seeking developers who can virtually present helpful content to his students.

 

Who is it for?

Students in the final years of study in the IT University in Macedonia under Darko Todorovski's mentorship; the programme is sponsored by codeSTREETS.

 

When is it?

End of May or beginning of June (depending on your availability)

 

What's the commitment?

Deliver 1 online session for 1-2hours. The subject matter must be under the umbrella of the PD1 cert, but Darko is very open as to what type of material you deliver. He suggests you choose to present the material you think will be most helpful to the students.

Delighted to share that I have completed my first certification - Salesforce Platform Developer I.

I am grateful to @Journey2Salesforce program an excellent learning platform which helped me in clearing this certification.

Hello, I have completed both the developer supersets after registering for Level up challenge. As per terms and conditions - The person should not be certified and have not completed supersets. I am not yet certified but I had done two Einstein Analytics supersets (not the supersets for developer) before this registeration. Kindly suggest am I still eligible or not for the voucher request?

Hi @RAD Women - Program Information (PUBLIC) and @RAD Women! The Sacramento Women in Tech Trailblazer Community group is having a virtual meeting tomorrow (7/15) at 5pm PT. It is Part 1 of a two part series called Zero to PD1. This series will cover 4 cornerstones of pursuing the Platform Developer 1 Certification: Motivation, Mindset, Mastery and Mentor.

In this first part, we will talk with five Trailblazer Community members who went from a non-developer background to obtaining the Platform Developer 1 certification. Deciding to jump into studying for PD1 can seem like a big hill to climb. Join us to hear about their background, what motivated them to study for PD1 and the mindset they took on in order to persevere. We will save some time for Q&A at the end of the session. Everyone is welcome!

 

We will have a certification voucher to give away at the end of the meeting. Winner must be online at the time of the drawing.

I know an inner class can inherit the wrapper apex class. But can an inner apex class have different sharing (more or less restrictive) than its parent class? #PD1 #PlatformDevI

    The inner classes do not inherit the sharing settings of their outer/container class .So yes , an inner apex class can have different sharing (more or less restrictive) than its parent class.

    But if a class extends or implements some other class in that case sharing settings are also inherited from that inherited class to the one that is inherititng.

Hello everyone,

 

I got my Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM 201) recently and i have been thinking to prepare for another certification and make the most of my time during this pandemic. After thinking about my interests and the trends I have decided to go for the Platform Developer 1 certification. I am actually struggling to decide how I should start with it. Can someone please help me in deciding how I should go ahead with this one? Any input would be appreciated.

    Hello @Gomathy Kalyanraman, I did prepare some notes for my personal use and included only the things that i thought were worth remembering and making a note of. The project exercise that i mentioned above was related to the projects available on trailhead. These project might give you just 500 points but they teach you a lot about what is to be used when and why. Feel free to comment back if you need any other help. All the best!
