I created the 'helloWorld' LWC component, deployed it, and added it to the Home page, but the challenge validation still says it cannot find the component.

 Hi everyone, I am facing an issue completing the "Create a Hello World Lightning Web Component" project. I created the component, deployed it successfully from VS Code to my Trailhead Playground, and added it to the Home Page in Lightning App Builder, but when I click "Verify Step", it shows an error saying "We couldn't find a Lightning web component named 'helloWorld'". Could someone please help me resolve this?

    Hey Sneha, this usually happens for a couple of quick reasons:

     

    1. You deployed to a different org: Check the bottom bar in VS Code to see which org you’re connected to. Make sure its username matches the exact playground selected at the bottom of your Trailhead page. If not, re-authorize the right org and deploy again.
    2. Case sensitivity: Both your folder and files must be named helloWorld (lowercase h, uppercase W). If it’s HelloWorld or helloworld, it will fail.
    3. The meta XML file: Open helloWorld.js-meta.xml and ensure <isExposed>true</isExposed> is set, then redeploy. If it’s false, Trailhead’s scanner can’t see it. Your xml should like this-

      <LightningComponentBundle xmlns="

      http://soap.sforce.com/2006/04/metadata"> 

          <apiVersion>60.0</apiVersion> 

          <isExposed>true</isExposed> 

          <targets>

          </targets> 

      </LightningComponentBundle>

    4. Save & Activate: Double-check that you hit both Save and Activate (set as Org Default) in Lightning App Builder after dropping it on the Home page.
