We have built a multilingual community portal and translated all fields and labels using Translation Workbench.
Now the requirement is as follows:
- When the portal is used in Spanish, the portal users enter data in Spanish.
- Salesforce internal users see the same data in Spanish, but they only understand English.
- Similarly, when a Salesforce internal user enters data in English, the portal user should see the same data automatically translated into Spanish.
From my initial analysis, Salesforce does not natively support automatic translation of field values. Translation Workbench only translates labels, picklist values, and metadata — not actual text field data.
It seems this may require a third-party translation tool or API integration.
Has anyone faced a similar requirement or found a working solution for this?
Please guide me on how to achieve this.
