Has anyone here experimented with Salesforce-connected Android apps outside the Play Store? I came across a lightweight tool listed on capcet APK library and it sparked a few questions.
If you're building or testing Android apps that tap into Salesforce APIs or custom objects, is it acceptable (or even secure) to sideload them from these kinds of APK repositories during testing? Do you isolate them in a sandbox, or is there a risk of compromising your dev org or connected sandbox environments?
I’d love to hear if anyone here has had a similar use case — especially on managing third-party installs when deploying mobile test versions outside official app stores.
For me, it’s a mix of both, but the stops usually make the trip more memorable. The driving gives you the freedom to enjoy the scenery, music, and random conversations, while the unexpected stops are often where the best memories come from.
