Welcome to the community, and great question!

Salesforce does have built-in options to schedule reports via email, but there are a few limitations you’ve already bumped into:

    • Scheduled reports can’t handle more than 2,000 rows
    • You can’t send Excel files directly (only CSV or inline formats)
    • Large datasets (like 100,000+ rows) require a workaround

Coefficient on AppExchange is the better, much more flexible option.

You can connect Salesforce directly to Excel or Google Sheets using Coefficient. It lets you:

    • Import entire Salesforce reports (or you can pull from Objects and Fields or SOQL)
    • Refresh the data automatically on a schedule
    • Even send that refreshed file by email (or even Slack)

This gives you a live, up-to-date data pipeline from Salesforce to Excel, without hitting export limits or doing it manually. And can be setup in 5 minutes.
