Issue Creating a Vehicle Record in Automotive Cloud

Question

Hello everyone,

I’m new working with Salesforce Automotive Cloud, and I’m facing an issue when trying to create a Vehicle record. I have already verified that my profile has all the necessary permissions (I am using the Administrator profile), but I still cannot create it.

I first tried creating an Asset, since I know vehicles are related to assets, but the Vehicle field does not appear in the asset layout, nor do I see an option to create a vehicle from there. Additionally, I am also unable to create a Vehicle Definition record.

When I try to create the record using Salesforce Inspector, it shows that I don’t have the necessary permissions.

Does anyone know what might be causing this or what configuration I might be missing?

Yes, while reviewing and validating, I realized that I was missing the Automotive Foundation User permission set. Once I added it, I was able to create the vehicle and the vehicle definition without any issues.
