Hi there,

We don't use Sales Engagement at the moment. We work from opportunities and currently when an opportunity meets a certain Stage, automated emails are sent to the primary contact associated to that opportunity.

We are looking at moving to use Sales Engagement, so I'd like to clarify, is there a way to use cadences to achieve this automation. Ideally we'd like to say:

  1. When Opportunity reaches XXX stage, add the primary contact (related to that opp) to  specific Cadence 1, and send them automated emails (via the cadence).
  2. When the Opportunity moves to YYYY stage, exit the primary contact from Cadence 1, add them to Cadence 2, and send them automated emails (via the cadence).
  3. etc etc as they move through opportunity stages and we want them to get different emails. (or can you send them different emails via the same cadence if they have progressed to a different opportunity stage)

So, can you use opportunity stages as the criteria for putting the contact related to that opportunity onto a cadence?

If so, could you tell me how?

Many thanks,

Naomi

Hey Naomi - I think this can be achieved using record triggered flows and the different invocable actions related to sales cadences. The listener elements within cadence builder are centered around engagements (opens, replies, etc.) and not necessary record updates. That being said, I think you'd need to create a few different record triggered flows to not only add your targets to a cadence but remove them as the opportunity stage updates. I've attached some relevant documentation below.

    Hope this helps,

    Will
