Is it possible for a client using Experience Cloud to be able to search an Email Ref ID that is part of their email discussion with the company?

salesforce is going to disable the Ref ID. You need to switch it over to Lightning Threading. Pls see this - https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000389648&type=1
Enforcement date is still TBD
