Dear Experts,

I am facing a problem with dashboard filter.

The filter that can be set in the dashboard which applies to the reports within the dashboard sometimes PERMANENTLY applies the filter to the reports themselves.

 

Issue explanation:

As you know reports can have filters, and dashboards can have filters too. Dashboard filters are temporarily set to the reports and can be changed on the dashboard page itself which allows us to add and remove filters but here those filters are getting applied to some of the reports permanently.

 

Requesting for a help or a guidance on this.

    Sounds like the User is unknowlingly saving the Report after they have clicked into it.  Try puting all of the Dashboards into a Folder that the Users only have Read access to
