Do all Donation Contact Roles trigger a soft credit?

This feels like a dumb question, but I can't find an answer anywhere. If the answer is yes, all contact roles trigger a soft credit, is there a way to create one that doesn't? And if the answer is no, where can I find information about which ones do and don't?

FOUND IT.   If you're looking, go to NPSP Settings --> Customizable Roll-ups --> Filter Groups

For NPSP, soft credit is defined by the custom roll-up engine. It comes out of the box with (I think) all roles getting soft credit. But you can redefine it or add a another soft credit roll-up that excludes certain roles. I have not done that but I believe it's possible with NPSP. (No idea about NPC.) --Terry
