What is exact diff of Applying Org Level security through Profile and Setup?

Hi Abhijeet,

Org Wide default is set across salesforce org and also it is to control record access. We set permission using profiles for object only.

Even the profile has read access for the object and OWD for that object is private then the user can see the record he/she created.
