Hi all,

I'm trying to analyze how I can avoid to break the limit of the server where we make http callouts from Salesforce. In details, I have an integration between salesforce and a server that is able to receive a maximum number of 5 http requests per second. In salesforce I built a POST callout with a future method called by a trigger. Whenever I change a specific field on the account, this future method make the POST callout to this server.

My question is : how can I make sure that we can send a maximum limit of 5 requests per second? so how can I make sure that we can't reach this limit? Is it possible?

Thanks

this seems a little more complicated than whats on the surface. I think trying to limit the request is going to be a little more work than its worth. you might want to reconsider process. the bottleneck is on your server, so a solution could be if you've reached a max then respond with a 429 and process it on salesforce side accordingly.
