Can't Get the sidebar to show up on Gmail integration?

We just setup Gmail integration in a client's org, but for one of the gmail accounts, clicking on the extension doesn't bring up the sidebar to login to salesforce. I recently set up their gmail as a new user for our org, but the domain name for their account is @gmail.com instead of the company's google domain name. Could this be the cause of the issue? #Gmail Integration
