Following up from the True to the Core session at #DF21 there were a few questions for my product area (profiles, permissions, permission sets, permission set groups that we didn't get to, so wanted to answer them here.
@Rupert BARROW asked "When creating a new field from the Setup UI, we need the option to be able to add it to a permission set. Also, once the field is created, we need to be able to see (from the field Setup UI) which permission sets it has been added."
Yes, I totally agree and this is on my radar and we are actively working with the team that manages the field creation wizard to update this. I don't have any dates to share yet, but I will make sure to update this post when I have some more clarity.

Yes! Adding to the process of creating fields would give PS a huge lift. Would love to have similar functionality to the Field Level Security that would show permission sets that have Read or Read/Write access! And ideally a quick way to add to multiple permission set.
