I am a new admin/sales guy. We did a mass import of contacts in the beginning, now I am finding certain contacts I choose not to import initially but now I would like to manage then within salesforce. If I type them into salesforce now and sync them with outlook using salesforce for outlook I am afraid I will get duplicates. What would be easier is if there is a way to import contacts one at a time or "onesy, towsy" as I find them in outlook. What is the best way to do this?

If you are going to sync with Outlook, I would read over the article on Contact filters:

This should help prevent the creation of duplicates. Also, the new Salesforce for Outlook was supposedly built with logic to help prevent duplicates natively.
