Hi Trailblazers,

We have a managed package and when it creates a XYZ record, it also creates a contact record in Salesforce and in some cases contacts with the same name exists in Salesforce already and duplicate rules setup in salesforce are not allowing to create the contact record in salesforce. Due to this, XYZ record is also not created.

Any suggestions how can we solve this?

Thanks!!

    My general understanding of Matching Rules and Duplicate Rules is that Duplicate Rules may "block" records from being created through the "Alert" feature on The Duplicate Rule.

    You could try to adjust the setting on Dupe Rule so it only "Reports" the Duplicate as a Duplicate Record Item instead of flagging an alert on insert of the record.

    Our work

    @Apsona for Salesforce

    with Deduplicate and Match functionality provides an application to analyze the duplicates and set rules in merging them after this happens.

    Hope that helps!
