Hello everyone,

I have been a member since April and wanted let you all know I was recently offered a position at a consulting firm. I share this in the hopes that it will help and inspire others in my position.

I started this journey in October when I decided to make a career change from the culinary industry into Salesforce. I know that some are discouraged from making the jump because of their past work experience, but I wanted to let you know it is possible.

What helped me the most was connecting with the Salesforce community. I attended as many Salesforce user group events as possible and made a lot of great connections. It was at these events that I met a number of professionals who started in different professions and made their way into Salesforce. This was a great inspiration for me, and encouraged me to seek out volunteer opportunities as well as obtaining the admin and platform app builder certs.
