One area our family has focused on recently is reusing and recycling clothing. With 2 school-aged kids, we go through a lot of clothes. Their school community hosts a secondhand sale, and we use the consignment service ThredUp to buy and sell clothes that still have some life in them. For those items that are too worn, stained to be reused, we're looking for a reputable textile recycler.
