Org/Context
- Org: Trailhead Playground tied to “Cunning Moose Playground” challenge.
- Goal: Pass challenge requiring a PSG “Sales User” and muting set “Sales User Muted,” and specific Account permissions.
What I did
- Created/confirmed Permission Set Group:
- Label: Sales User; API Name: Sales_User; Status: Updated.
- Muting Permission Set attached to PSG:
- Label: Sales User Muted; API Name: Sales_User_Muted; appears in PSG related list; New button for muting sets is disabled (greyed out).
- Muted Permissions section shows no entries.
- Effective Permissions in PSG (View Summary) for Account show: Create, Read, Edit, Delete, View All, Modify All checked.
- Verified I’m logged in as System Administrator.
- Confirmed permission sets included in PSG grant the Account permissions (not relying only on Profile).
Issue
- Trailhead checker still returns: “We can’t find the correct object permissions for account in the ‘Sales User’ permission set group,” despite effective permissions showing the required boxes and the muting set existing with the exact names.
Requested help
- Confirm why the Trailhead verification fails despite correct PSG effective permissions and muting set presence.
- Investigate why the “New” button for Muting Permission Sets is disabled on this PSG.

Hi Rosanne, I'd check the muting set first. You mentioned it has no muted permissions, which could explain why the challenge fails even though the PSG summary looks correct. Also, the disabled New button is normal if the group already has a muting set. I'd double-check the exact permissions the challenge asks you to mute, then recalculate the group and try again.
