Hi,
We use live connections for our dashboard. It has 2 views, and 4 data sources (4 connections to Vertica) . When we open the dashboard, it opens 16 sessions to the vertica.
Does anyone know how to explain the correlation between amount of views/datasources to connections opened to the database?
Or in this specific case, does anyone have an idea why 16 sessions were opened?

Hi, this may be related to Tableau doing queries in paralell. For each sheet, you may have one query, and for each filter with relevant values option, you will have also one query.
This is what comes to my mind, but not 100% sure.
