How to increase the size of extract file to store dimension with string characters more than 255, as its likely getting truncated at the extract stage if string size is more than 255 but not when using as Live Connection?

I have dimension field with string characters more than 255. In the below screenshot I have split the dimension string field into three parts each part having size of 255 , so that it eventually is working only when i connect as Live.

But when i make connection as extract, i'm just retrieving the first 255 characters and not all.

Where you se part2, part3 and part4 doesn't have any text as the text is just limited to 255 characters

I'm using cloudera hadoop connector and why is this happening just at the extract stage than at live connection?
