Is is the case in 2026 that Tableau STILL lacks the functionality to add linked text within a text box?

It's a bit ridiculous that something that seems so relatively simple is still not implemented this many years later. I am aware there are many convoluted workarounds to achieve this effect, however, in my opinion, it shows how little this company (as it is now) respects their loyal customers to still not have this functionality available.
unfortunately this is still the case. There's an existing idea in the Ideas Exchange that is now closed to any new voting because it was marked as Delivered. That idea though had two elements to it, but only one of the elements was actually delivered upon, not both.
I'd suggest opening a new idea based on the second idea found in the original post
