Hi

How do you position Slack at an organisation that already has Microsoft Teams (and WhatsApp) ?

I helped a new nonprofit set up Salesforce AFNP, then we got an email about Slack being automatically provisioned.

Their comment:

"we have Teams installed on each of our workstations, but this is currently only used for online meetings. The chat and call options are not currently being used. The team is a small one, and WhatsApp is mostly used for communications. To use Slack,  we would need to demonstrate the value"

When Skype was slated to go away (what we previously used for internal comms), we looked for a new internal comms tool and decided to go with Slack. We still use Zoom for external (and internal) video calls/online meetings. Slack Pro is free for non-profits and has become an absolute powerhouse for our organization. It is easy to use, free, and integrates with so many platforms (for us Google, Box.com, and PandaDoc) and we recently did a Salesforce implementation and connected Slack and Salesforce. The ease of integration and setup is so smooth and clean. And it is tremendously helpful to be able to edit records in Slack or Salesforce and see those update in the other space. Even though the org might be small, I think they may find WhatsApp eventually limiting for their uses and Slack is such a powerhouse it is worth investing the time in to use across the org. Slack is a tool everyone in our org uses daily and has become a knowledge repository as well. (For context we are a small non-profit with a team size of 20).
