Does anybody have good sample (if possible) of Connected App configuration where oAuth setting is used but Authentication is managed by third party idp.

In another words can you setup Connected app in a way to get redirected to third party provider for Authentication and then (if access allowed based on user federation Id) obtain Access token (session Id) for working with API calls.

This "Coming in our next release is a new param though that you can add to the OAuth flow called sso_provider, if you specify your SAML IDP in that param, the OAuth flow from your app will automatically redirect through Salesforce to the SAML IDP. This is not a security measure, as the user can stop the browser and remove the param, but it does allow you to get the user flow that it sounds like you desire. "

is what I was trying to achieve in my question.

    Thank you @Samuel Rosen

There is actually different use case that my client would like to have:

They would like to execute call for token to third party provider url (IdAnywhere), then setup third party provider and salesforce in way that this two can exchange token and return to requester access Token (Salesforce Session Id).

Another request is to work around constant change of security certificates that IdAnywhere is using to establish trusted connections.

@Samuel Rosen Have you any idea how this may be achieved?
