When trying to update a lookup field in the Field Service application while offline, the app did not give me the possibility to search and informed that in offline mode we could not search within lookups. For the field service app, is there a way to enable lookup fields to work in offline mode?
It's a complex story with the mobile app priming records, and usage of off-line briefcase. Long story short, FSL mobile app itself downloads key records required for the job and some related records that are referenced in lookup fields. So it is very likely that if the lookup was empty, the record-to-be-associated was not primed to the app, and it is not accessible in off-line mode. All the records are on the server side, which is not accessible when the app is in off-line mode.
You can use the briefcase builder to prime some other non-related records. Note that the volume is closer to hundreds rather then
