Hoping you can provide some campaign structure guidance. Our Marketing team is starting to use Campaigns in Salesforce, but there's some internal debate over the best way to structure the hierarchy.
Opinion One:
Parent: Q1 Go-to-Market
Child: 01/25/2020 Webinar, February 2020 Roadshow, etc.
Opinion Two:
Parent: Webinars
Child: 01/25/2020
Under option 1, the ability to breakout the total quarterly effort should be very simple, but aggregating different streams seems difficult.
On the other hand, the concern with option 2 is that understanding how all over our quarterly efforts are performing is difficult. (I feel confident that reporting would be able to solve for this, but please correct me if I'm wrong.)
Does anyone have best practice guidance or recommendations for how to structure Campaign Hierarchies?

Rolling up based on quater or fiscal year needs commitment for long term maintenance. Thus, its better to roll campaigns based on categories or programs, and fiscal or quaterly performance can be tracked using reporting.
