Chatter update via email notification is not getting updated in Salesforce

Chatter is not getting updated in Salesforce when a Sales person update it via email notification.

    Hi Eric,

     

    For my issue, email notifications are coming but when we click on "Reply" in that email , chatter is not getting updated.

     

    Everytime the user has to login into Salesforce to update chatter.
