Each Lightning Data package includes the following.
A custom object containing data from the data service
An external object used for updating and importing records
A data integration rule that identifies matches between the external object records and your Salesforce records

Give users access to the following objects.
Read and Edit on the standard object—Account, Contact, or Lead
Read, Edit, and Create on the custom object included in the package
Read on the external object included in the package
Some Lightning Data packages require an extra step to give your users access to the data from the package. You add a lookup field or related list for the custom object included in the package to the page layout. For details, contact the data service provider.
