How to use Dataloader to update child records on the Parent object

I need update child records on Parent object "Opportunity".How can I achieve this using dataloader?

 

Kindly help.

    So I have Object Opportunity now.Based on some filter criteria I will fetch only a few Opportunities which I need to update.Later I need to check whether those filtered opportunities have child object records or not? only those need updation.How do I check that?
