We are currently trying to merge our instance of salesforce with another org. We have muticurrency currency enabled in our organisation however the company we are merging with does not have multi-currency enabled.
So one of the things they want to do is turn on multicurrency. Their current local currency is in USD however their accounts & opportunities are both in US dollars and Canadian dollars - so basically they have a mix of currencies however I have noticed that under the current configuration (ie without multicurrnecy enabled, there is no currency field to specify if an account or opportunity is in a particular currency in salesforce. ie values are referenced as $25,000 which could be USD or CAD. However they have a way of managing this outside salesforce using the country information
My question is if they wanted their local currency as GBP (Same has ours) so that the USD and CAD values are translated into GBP how do we do this please
Is there a way of having the currency field enabled on each account/opportunity so they could specify the transaction/home currency so that the system is able to automatically translate the currency into GBP?
Please steps on how to approach this will be very much appreciated.
Best Wishes
