Can I create kits with products?

Question

I am setting up the Salesforce / Intacct integration. In order to set up our products in Intacct so that they would meet our accounting needs, some single products (from the sales perspective) had to be split in two. Is there a way to merge two products into a kit in Salesforce so that our sales team doesn't need to add two products to represent a single product by the time it reaches our accounting team?

Another solution I am considering would be to automatically add the second product when the first product is selected.

If the first option isn't an option, then I would look further into option 2.
