I am lost & would appreciate any help or insight.
I specifically want a chart showing the number of spec hours over the course of time (from each Opportunity/ Prelim Schedule). But I want two pieces of data charted:
- 1) the actual job hours we have (from Opportunity stage = Closed Won) and
- 2) the potential job hours we may get (Opportunity stage = To-be-Quoted, Quoted, Negotiation, On Hold, etc) to be stacked above the actual job hours.
So if the actual job we have is 100 hours for week of May 1 and the Potential job is 50 hours for that week, I need to know that I have potentially 150 hours for week of May 1. Is this doable?
I run into issues with trying to group the Opportunity stages separately, as well as grouping total spec hours per week (and not just start date).
For context, for each preliminary schedule, our Managers will input the spec codes with hours they need and the timeframe they need it in (see below) I.e. 515 hours between 6/29/2020 (start date) to 7/17/2020 (end date). But right now, it only corresponds to one date (and not the timeframe). So on my reports, it looks like I have 515 hours on 6/29 and 0 hours for 7/6 and 7/13, when in reality, I have 515 hours over the timeframe of those 3 weeks.
Is it possible to view the hours laterally over time on a chart - with so much mismatched data? If we need to group the hours by week and average, that’s fine, but I would prefer a flowing chart.
I have tried multiple report types but found this one seems promising: Opportunities w/Prelim Schedules w/Spec Hours. I have also been tinkering with Matrix Reports, Row Level Formulas, Bucket Columns, etc to get the report and I can’t seem to get a grasp on it.
Thank you for your help,
